Donations can be designated to the general fund or the Evelyn Thomas fund. The Evelyn Thomas fund provides financial assistance for deserving applicants for Life Care. The fund honors former resident Evelyn Thomas, a true daughter of the community and a Doolittle resident for twelve years.

Our major fund raising event each year is the Foxboro Cable Access/Doolittle Home auction. In 2007 and 2008, auction proceeds went towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van to transport residents for activities and medical appointments. Trustees also drive the van to transport Foxboro veterans to medical appointments. In 2009 the auction supported the purchase of the an adjustable examining table for the nursing unit. This unique table provides increased comfort for residents having medical examinations.
