Emergency Safe Haven -- While Foxboro has managed to miss any significant impact of any of the hurricanes to date, emergency plans are in place. In the event that the Foxborough Emergency Manpower Agency declares a state of emergency and is forced to evacuate elderly people from their homes or either senior citizen complex here in town, Doolittle Home is a designated safe haven. Doolittle offered to accept the frail elderly "guests" for the duration of the emergency. Doolittle staff is prepared to receive emergency guests on short notice and to provide the appropriate support services not available in a general shelter. Town officials are most appreciative of our humanitarian gesture.
